Job Title: Catering AssistantHourly Rate of Pay: £12.21Position Type: PermanentType of Employment: Part TimeTotal Weekly Contractual Hours: 15Location: CHP - Finchley Memorial Hospital - Granville RoadWe are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team working on Saturday and Sunday 10:30 to 18:30 each day
Pay will be £12.21 Monday to Friday - Saturday and Sunday £13.21
As a Catering Assistant, your main duties involve the preparation and maintenance of dining and service areas. This includes tasks such as setting up furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment, as well as ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. You will be responsible for serving food in correct portions and washing dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment, you will also be taking menu selection from patients. Daily cleaning of all catering areas is essential and you may also be required to undergo additional training which we will provide.
Other responsibilities supporting the chef in the main kitchen with food preparation Excellent customer service is crucial, and you will be expected to communicate regularly with patients, managers and your colleagues.
Previous catering experience in a similar environment, basic Food Hygiene, and basic Health and Safety certificates are desirable. However, these certifications are not essential as comprehensive training will be provided to perform the duties effectively, you should possess adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
A strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service is important, along with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Adaptability, attention to detail, and the willingness to take on different tasks as needed are valued qualities. You should also demonstrate a hardworking and confident demeanor, along with excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
