You will work with our Support Workers to empower individuals to move on and break the cycle of homelessness.Job Summary:This position is based at Witham Lodge in Skegness, providing accommodation-based support to men and women over the age of 18 who are experiencing homelessness.As a motivated Assistant Support Worker, you will assist with the delivery of support to homeless clients with complex needs. Work with clients as part of person-centred support planning which includes aiding access a range of meaningful activities. Work with clients as part of the Support Team assisting to ensure the needs and actions within person centred plans are addressed in a professional mannerKey Responsibilities:The role of Assistant Support Worker with The Salvation Army is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for clients. As a motivated and dynamic Assistant Support Worker you will be responsible for assisting with delivering a high-quality programme of support vulnerable adults which promotes client choice and control. You will work alongside support workers to address clients’ needs, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. You will also complete day to day support and engagement activities with clients focusing on trauma informed approaches. You will need to be proficient in computerised data collection and recording to fulfil support plans, risk assessments and case notes.
