Substantive post
Full time 37 hours per week
Band 3 - Salary Range £28,011 - £30,230 per annum
Additional allocation for on-call
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,482 per annum
Working as part of the multi-disciplinary theatre team, you will assist and support the smooth running of the peri-operative service. Your duties will include participating with staff in the care of patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures including endoscopy, and also operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment.
You will be motivated, have good interpersonal and team working skills and be able to plan and prioritise your workload. There will be an expectation that the post holder will be required to work independently at times. The ability to undertake an on-call commitment will be required.
You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on http://www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk/resources/hcsw-standards-and-codes/
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
