As Category Buyer you will play a pivotal role in supporting category strategy development and commodity risk management within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Commodity Manager you will lead on supplier negotiations, contract management and the identification of new sourcing opportunities. Your insight-driven market research and supplier engagement will ensure business continuity, cost optimisation and alignment with ESG commitments.
We are looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with:
Proven experience sourcing in food manufacturing (Ingredients / Commodities) essential
High level understanding of incoterms
Strong negotiation, tendering and contract management expertise
Market intelligence skills with the ability to interpret commodity trends
Experience in ERP and MRP tools
This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative FMCG environment, where you will influence strategy and build supplier partnerships globally in a hybrid working pattern with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
