Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

This company are an experienced Multi-Discipline Principle Contractor and Sub-Contractor based in Northampton, specialising in delivering high-end refurbishment projects for both public and private sector clients across education, commercial, leisure, retail & heritage sectors. With typical projects values at circa £5m.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of diverse refurbishment projects. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities for Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for various projects.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information for cost assessments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor project expenses and assist in financial forecasting.
  • Support the preparation of progress reports and final accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project-related documentation.
