Herm Ward at Alderney Hospital is a specialist female older people’s mental health ward providing high quality, person-centred care for individuals experiencing dementia , behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with mental health conditions. We are currently recruiting Nurses who are passionate about delivering excellent care as part of a supportive and dynamic team.
We are seeking individuals with experience in a mental health setting who can provide confident shift leadership, work collaboratively with colleagues, and bring strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills. A caring, compassionate attitude and the ability to work with initiative are essential.

To provide a high quality person centred approach to care delivery which always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.
To undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs, and develop programmes of care as part of the
wider multi-disciplinary care team.
To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care.
To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
