DP Building Systems are a well-established distributor of cable management, cabling and electrical wholesale solutions who cover the UK from their Birmingham depot.
We are a super-stockist for all our brands, which include Unistrut, Marco, Fleixon, Pemsa, Legrand, Halfen and Lindapter.
Role Purpose
The Role is for a Driver/Warehouse person delivering electrical containment products locally and across the UK, you will be expected to help load and unload your vehicle before and during delivery. also when there are no deliveries your role will be as a warehouse assistant. You will work as part of a team under the supervision of the warehouse manager. Your job will to be to assist the smooth operation of the warehouse ensuring all orders are picked and packed and despatched to the customer as required. The job will also occasionally require you to serve customers ensuring you give them a first class service. Full training will be given.
Responsibilities of a Driver/ Warehouse Assistant:
* To report to the warehouse manager
* Deliveries across the UK & locally
* To pick and pack orders to the required standard
* To load our vehicles and unload when required
* To Unload supplier deliveries and check goods against paperwork
* To serve trade counter customers giving a high level of service
* To maintain a clean & tidy working environment and ensuring that heath and safety policies are adhered to.
* To cut channels to requested sizes (training will be given)
* Use of forklift may be required (Training will be given)
The Person:
* Full driving License
• Hardworking & flexible
• Ability to work in a busy warehouse sometimes with tight deadlines
• Able to work in a team and as an individual
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and keen to help maintain the company’s growth.
