Role overview
Reporting into one of our Home Fraud Team Leaders, you'll be tackling a mix of suspected fraudulent claims across contents and buildings insurance and be working closely with our Operational Teams, Suppliers and wider Fraud Teams to identify and respond to fraudulent claims. Your goal will be in supporting Hastings Direct in delivering a market leading fraud defence for Household/Home Claims - a business area that has expanded exponentially over the past 12 months!
Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in:
- Conducting detailed reviews of newly identified claims which are of concern, and where appropriate, provide guidance and feedback to the wider teams within Claims
- Conducting investigations on claims where we hold a suspicion of fraud
- Conducting desktop investigations, formal interviews, liaising with suppliers and using intelligence solutions systems
- Supporting the design of relevant fraud processes
- Acting as a technical referral point for Home Claims Handlers, to support fraud identification
- Tackling a mix of suspected fraudulent claims across contents and buildings
Essential skills/experience:
- Has a technical fraud background within insurance or has strong experience of household/home/property claims
- Strong overall claims understanding - familiar with the end-to-end claims journey
- Capable of making decisions and challenging the status quo - able to utilise strong communication skills and engage with a varied audience
