Highwood Care Home is a brand-new, purpose-built facility in the historic port town of Bideford. We provide Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care for up to 67 residents in a welcoming and homely environment.

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and organised Wellbeing Assistant to bring joy and engagement to our residents’ lives. Experience in a care home is not essential – if you are energetic, friendly, and love making a difference, we want to hear from you.

What We Offer:

  • £12.21 per hour
  • Contracted 20 hours per week
  • Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You’ll Do
As Wellbeing Coordinator, you will plan and organise activities and events that keep residents active and engaged. You will encourage social interaction and help residents pursue hobbies and personal interests. You will work closely with colleagues to create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere, always taking residents’ individual preferences and needs into account. You will maintain accurate records of activities and report on engagement, ensuring the highest standards of care and enjoyment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Creativity and confidence to deliver engaging activities
  • Passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life
