We’re looking for a kind, reliable person who takes pride in a job well done. Someone who notices the little things, understands how much comfort a fresh room or clean clothes can bring, and wants to make a real difference in daily life.

As part of our friendly housekeeping and laundry team, you’ll help keep our care home welcoming, safe and homely. From fresh sheets to tidy spaces, your work helps residents feel truly cared for.

If you enjoy working with others, take pride in your work, and want to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

At Island Healthcare, we look out for each other. Your work will always be valued, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.

A warm, welcoming team atmosphere

Work that makes a real difference to residents’ daily lives

Support from managers who trust you to do things well

Training to build your skills and confidence

Paid breaks and a free uniform throughout your time here

Free meals, fair pay and holiday allowance

Set hours with no late nights

A Typical Day

You’ll help keep the home clean, calm and well cared for. Your day may include:

Cleaning resident rooms and shared spaces

Washing, labelling, folding and returning clothes and bedding

Keeping laundry and cleaning areas tidy and well organised

Spot-checking rooms and assisting with deep cleans

Using machines, irons and cleaning products safely (with training if needed)

Following infection control rules and keeping everyone safe

Supporting your team and covering shifts during holidays or busy times

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to find someone who is hard-working, helpful and takes real pride in their work.

Able to plan your day and complete tasks reliably

Happy to work both on your own and as part of a team

Calm, caring and respectful around residents and their spaces

Confident (or willing to learn) how to use equipment and products safely

Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is a bonus, but not essential

What Makes Island Healthcare Different

We’re a family-run company, and we treat our staff and residents with the same care we’d want for our own families.

For over 20 years, we’ve been part of life on the Island — building trust by doing the right things, the right way. Many of our team stay with us for years, because they feel respected and proud of the work they do.

Our homes feel like just that — homes. They’re welcoming, well-run, and full of people who care.

So if you want to do real work that matters, with people who truly care — we’d love to hear from you.
