Summary
Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/ Hayes/ Northolt/ Greenford/ West Drayton etc)
PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED
£17.51 to £20.50 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
(Depending on experience, overtime, nights, weekends etc)
Requirements:
• Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
• Valid CPC and TACHO
• You must be over the age of 25 years – for insurance purposes
• At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)
• Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
• Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
Type of shifts (depending on Company):
• A to B drops, Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops)
• Movies/TV and Events
• Builders merchants and Scaffolding
• Shifts are mainly during the week - Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
All-round Duties:
• As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
• Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
• Secure load onto vehicle (strapping)
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Rates of pay:
• We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day
• Overtime is paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid)
• PAYE between £17.51 and £20.50 per hour (rates differ for experience, nights, weekends, bank/public holidays and overtime)
