Crynodeb
This role is unique. You will have the opportunity to support birthing individuals/ parents who have developed perinatal mental health problems during their pregnancy or postnatal period to care for their babies, ensure that the emotional and physical needs of the babies are met and engage in activities to promote the birthparent and infant relationship. The attachment relationship between birthing person and child underpins the work undertaken, holding baby in mind and being their voice at times when this may be hard for the parent, but also shedding light on and celebrating what they are doing well. The Nursery Nurse role supports birthing people on their journey of parenting, offering nurture and support through therapeutic interventions such as baby massage, VIG, Watch Wait Wonder, Circle Of Security and Solihull as they navigate support within their mental health.
