We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team for children and young people working within the Neurodevelopmental team.

The Neurodevelopmental team is an integral part of the City & Hackney children and Young People’s mental health service (CAMHS) providing children with a range of assessment and treatment options.

City & Hackney CAMHS offers an assessment and treatment service for children and young people with complex, severe or persistent emotional, behavioural or developmental problems. The service is centrally located on one site in City & Hackney.

Your remit will be to build on the ongoing service evaluation of the team. In addition, there will be opportunities to participate in clinical work and work alongside experienced clinicians. Your colleagues will welcome your involvement in the rich variety of their work, which comprises a range of assessments as well as group, family and individual interventions with the diverse client base in City and Hackney.

You will have good research and service evaluation skills, including knowledge and experience of Excel and SPSS or Stata.

We will provide an interesting and supportive work environment, with good training and supervision making this role an ideal opportunity for a motivated Assistant Psychologist.

· Plan and coordinate, and support co-delivery where required, post diagnostic interventions, including group parenting programmes and psychoeducation (virtual/individual/group basis)

· Help to organise the clinic/group schedules in advance, overseeing multi-disciplinary team diary management and complete associated tasks (under the direction of the Clinical Operational Lead where qualified decision-making is required).

· Support clinical work of qualified staff with diagnostic assessments (e.g. ADOS, school observations, cognitive assessments, play-based assessments) and compile diagnostic reports.
