Summary

Personal Assistant/Support Worker Ref: NK/SF/1-25

I am a young man looking for a Personal Assistant, I am an energetic individual who enjoys walking and loves Football, I also enjoy going to watch Motherwell FC (I have a season ticket) and Carluke Rovers. I also train with the Motherwell Disability Football Team.

I live with my parents and have separate accommodation. I have bilateral hearing loss but can hear with aid of my hearing aids.

A typical day with me will include verbal prompting for my daily routine particularly on workdays, meal prep in the evenings. I work at Finsbury’s in Hamilton packing, and I get up at 6am, when I am not working, I get up around 8am. I spend a lot of time on my computer on football chatrooms, and I also go for a couple of walks each day around the village.

You’ll support me with laundry including ironing, meal prep and supermarket shopping. Support for social events including visits to Dentist, Doctor and Hearing Aid Clinic. Occasionally Universal Credit Office.

I would love to work with someone who shares my passion for sport particularly football and would be possibly prepared to stay over should my parents be away although this is not essential. It would also be good if you could introduce me to more social events.

I live in Law so it’s important you’re comfortable working in this area.

Hours:
This role involves 9 hours per week, £12.60 per hour Tuesday/Wednesday during the day or early evenings, flexibility around these days and times is required, additional hours and days would be available during the year covering parents respite break.

Experience is a bonus, but not essential. What I’m looking for is someone who is kind, reliable and able to support me in a person-centred way
A driving licence is essential to help with transport; mileage will be reimbursed.
