We're looking for a Internal Communications professional join DWP Digital's award-winning Digital Engagement team.
Working with our Data & Analytics teams, you will help shape how data transforms lives across the UK by using insight to communicate to more than 4500 colleagues through various channels and bring our data strategy to life.

You are your role
You play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the data communication and engagement strategy across DWP. You help keep colleagues informed, engaged and inspired.
Drawing on audience insight, channel expertise, and creative communication skills, you lead the development of innovative campaigns that effectively engage internal audiences across digital platforms.
You work closely with colleagues across Digital and beyond to ensure communications are strategically aligned with business goals, often translating complex issues into targeted messaging. Your role involves advising senior leaders, representing the voice of the data audience, and providing expert guidance on internal communications.
In addition to managing team delivery and resources, you monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications, using data and feedback to improve. Your work supports DWP Digital's employee experience, aligning with the four engagement enablers: strategic narrative, integrity, employee voice, and engaging line managers.

- Excellent written and editorial skills, with experience in creating engaging content for digital channels that aligns with organisational priorities and values. Able to deliver clear, consistent messaging during periods of change and uncertainty.
- Develop communication and engagement strategies which deliver measurable business outcomes, and the ability to align these effectively at strategic and delivery level with wider communications activities to tight deadlines.
- Proven strategic communications skills with demonstrable ability to lead multiple teams in identifying and applying insight, developing and implementing innovative and effective communications plans, and using evaluation data to measure and improve activity.
- Excellent relationship management, verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiating and influencing skills, building relationships at all levels and working effectively on projects with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating a collaborative, team-based approach.
- Provide expert support, advice and constructive challenge to senior leaders to ensure they are effective in communicating clear, confident and consistent messaging across the organisation.
- Strong planning, and organisational skills, including delivering internal communications campaigns to tight deadlines. You will have the ability to spot communication opportunities and risks, recommend solutions and deliver on them.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of £55,557.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
