Are you passionate about STEM and love working with children. Join Young Engineers Solihull and be part of something awesome!
We’re looking for energetic, creative, and reliable educators to run our hands-on engineering sessions for children aged 6–12. Using LEGO®-based models, you’ll help young minds explore science, technology, engineering, and maths in the most exciting way possible.
When?
Weekdays between 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Weekends, typically mornings or early afternoons
Perfect for university students, part-time teachers, or anyone who loves working with kids and has a few spare hours a week!
What You'll Do:
Run fun and structured Young Engineers sessions using our lesson plans and awesome kits.
Keep sessions safe, engaging, and inclusive.
Give a short safety briefing at the start of each session.
Communicate with local schools, venues, and our internal team.
Prepare your session in advance and handle basic admin like registers and equipment checks.
Be a friendly, enthusiastic role model for our young learners.
Ensure all equipment is tidy, safe, and ready to go.
Uphold our standards for child safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
What We’re Looking For:
A passion for STEM and working with children
Great communication skills and a friendly personality
Organised, punctual, and consistent
Experience working with children (schools, clubs, tutoring etc.) is a bonus
DBS checked (or willing to undergo one)
Access to transport preferred
