Do you have a positive approach to work and enjoy the challenges of a busy role? We have an opportunity for you to join North Yorkshire Council working as part of our mobile supervisor cleaning team. You will be a valued member of our team, be reliable, have strong customer care skills and a strong work ethic. You will be passionate about providing outstanding service delivery. A full driving licence is essential for this role. This is a varied, challenging role in which flexibility and teamwork are essential skills.
Working for NYC as a Mobile Cleaning Supervisor, you will have caretaking and cleaning duties including the opening and closing of buildings, minor repairs, and cleaning. Travelling in York, Ryedale and the surrounding areas, you will visit multiple sites mornings and evenings as required, providing cover in the absence of a member of the cleaning/caretaking team. You may be required to travel further afield to provide support across North Yorkshire. This is a varied role where we would provide you with the vehicle with no fuel or running costs, a competitive hourly rate, which is applied from when you leave home to when you return at the end of your shift.
Part of the role will be to supervise cleaning staff working at various locations, which will include schools, offices, and libraries throughout the area. During school holidays, the work times will be predominately during the day, to deep clean schools involving a further range of tasks such as scrubbing floors and carpet cleaning. This is a 37 hour per week post and overtime is usually available. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours is a key part of the role. Full training will be provided AND there is no weekend work. You will be paid £24,796 per annum with incremental progression.
