Our Client is seeking a Damp Project Support Officer who will provide robust administrative and project support for damp-related works to ensure smooth service delivery, timely project completion, and excellent customer service. The role will involve coordinating with residents, surveyors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve damp and mould issues efficiently and sensitively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and project support to senior staff for damp-related works and projects.
Manage departmental/section email inboxes, calendars, and correspondence (record, process, and respond to emails as required).
Assist with the collection and recording of technical data, performance indicators, and contract administration.
Support Strategic Asset Management Services, including inputting data and assisting with budget reports.
Act as Damp and Mould Liaison, working directly with residents to coordinate works, arrange storage, and provide assurance throughout the process—particularly with distressed or reluctant tenants.
Coordinate with other internal departments (e.g., Capital Projects Teams) to align existing and proposed works and prevent duplication.
Manage and monitor existing works orders to ensure backlogs and new jobs are completed in a timely manner, providing continual updates to all stakeholders (tenants, surveyors, managers, complaints team).
Essentials and Knowledge:
A good standard of secondary education (literacy, numeracy) - Essential
Strong operational experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). – Essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (phone, face-to-face, email, and letters). – Essential
Excellent organisation and time management skills. – Essential
Ability to manage a busy workload effectively. – Essential
High level of accuracy and attention to detail. – Desirable
Experience:
Experience of writing notes, letters, and reports. – Desirable
Experience of working collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver excellent customer service. – Essential
Experience of engaging with residents and stakeholders, including local councillors, within a politicised environment. – Desirable
