An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our specialist Orthopaedics team at Broadgreen Hospital.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team, working across both Elective Orthopaedic Surgery and the highly specialised Limb Reconstruction Service (LRS).
This static post offers the opportunity to work with complex patient caseloads, contribute to service development, and be part of a supportive and forward-thinking MDT.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to:
• Deliver expert physiotherapy for patients undergoing a wide range of routine elective orthopaedic surgeries, including sarcoma management
• Provide specialist rehabilitation for patients within the LRS, including those undergoing surgery for trauma, deformity correction, and limb salvage
• Support patients across the full pathway — from inpatient recovery through to outpatient rehabilitation
• Play a key role in developing day-case services and enhancing care pathways for elective procedures
This is a rewarding and challenging post that requires clinical autonomy, strong decision-making skills, and a commitment to patient-centred care.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a physiotherapist who can demonstrate:
• Broad clinical experience in MSK outpatients and inpatient trauma & orthopaedics
• Specific experience or interest in deformity correction and external fixation
• A good understanding of orthopaedic and trauma surgical pathways
• Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine interest in working in complex rehabilitation settings
Additional Opportunities
You will also be involved in:
• Supervising junior staff and supporting student education
• Taking part in research, audit, and ongoing service development
