The Team
Our award-winning Property and Facilities team deliver a first-class service to over 1,500 staff and nearly 18,000 students across Edinburgh Napier University. The Role
The role of Cleaning Assistant is to provide a clean and safe work environment for students, staff and visitors to the university.
Cleaning Assistants will be expected to work across all campuses when required.
Daily duties will involve cleaning offices, all kitchen areas, labs, meeting rooms, stairways, toilets, showers etc. You will ensure that set guidelines are followed and all statutory obligations regarding the use of chemicals, manual handling and working with machinery are adhered to.
What we’ll need from you
We are looking for someone who can:
• Provide an excellent service to a high standard
• Work on own initiative but also as part of a team
• Demonstrate Good communication skills
Desirable attributes:
• Manual handling awareness/training
• H&S awareness/training
• COSHH awareness/training
• Experience of working in a cleaning role
• Experience of cleaning a large site to a high standard.
