The successful candidate will work closely with students who have special educational needs, providing individualised support and guidance to help them reach their full potential. As a Part-time SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing students' individual learning needs and developing personalised education plans
- Delivering engaging and effective lessons that cater to each student's specific requirements
- Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to parents and school staff
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to support
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student progress and interventions
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Degree qualified of a relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, with a focus on special educational needs
- Extensive experience working with students with a range of learning difficulties, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with a willingness to adapt to individual student needs
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
