What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Morecambe Bay Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage team.
This is a temporary vacancy (subject to funding for specific children) for 12 months, staring from September 2025. The vacancy is for a TA Level 2A. The successful candidate will support children with additional needs in the Reception Class, working with them delivering specific support according to their individual needs. Applicants must be able to work effectively as part of a team and have a good standard of English and Maths.
Ideally, we are looking for TA’s who have experience of working with children with learning, social and emotional health needs within the Early Years.
The post is Monday to Friday. The position is part time (27 ½ hrs) term time only. Please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
What the school offers its staff
In return the successful candidate will be offered a package of induction and support as well as excellent CPD provision. They will also receive specific training that supports the child’s needs and the Education Health Care Plan.
