Job Title: Commis Chef
Location: Carnoustie
Salary: £25,397 per annum
Hours: 1,832 per annum (Equivalent to 2,080 inclusive of annual leave)
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a talented and passionate Commis Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team at an exciting venue aiming to make a mark on the local food scene.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking to further develop their culinary career in a professional, high-standard environment.
Key Duties Include (but are not limited to):-
Supporting the Head Chef to deliver consistent, high-quality food offerings.

Preparing food and managing a section during busy service periods.

Playing a key part in building a reputation for excellence and creativity.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all catering areas.

Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety legislation at all times.

Carrying out operational duties as needed to support the wider business.

Strong cooking skills with experience in a high-end or quality kitchen environment.

Creative flair and genuine passion for food and presentation.

A committed team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Understanding of food costs and how they affect profit margins.

City & Guilds in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).

Demonstrable trade experience with evidence of continued on-the-job learning.
-
CIEH Food Safety Level 2.
-
First Aid at Work certification.
