Week 2: Tuesday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking to recruit a Museum Officer to lead the museum development team based out of Low Parks Museum, Hamilton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the curatorial and learning team and must have a proven track record of collections management practices and working to exacting sector and organisational standards and guidelines.
You will oversee delivery of all aspects of the Museum Service business plan, working with colleagues across the organisation and with external stakeholders and partners as required.
Evidence of leading and delivering development projects, and a knowledge of external funding opportunities will be advantageous. The ability to lead a team in a motivated and enthusiastic manner is essential to the requirements of the post. Having responsibility for the safe and efficient operating of off-site collections stores, a driver’s license is desirable.
