Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Provide tailored 1-1 support and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social-emotional challenges
• Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed
• Implement personalised strategies and intervention to meet individual learning needs
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, supporting their academic progress and emotional wellbeing
• Work closely with the SENCO and external professionals to ensure high-quality support

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Who We’re Looking for:

KPi Education are on the hunt for an exceptional Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who has:

• Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (Russell Group or reputable university preferred)
• Has previous experience working with children with SEN (in schools, nurseries, or care settings)
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
• Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Is looking to pursue a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or SEN support
