Customer Care Technical Inspector
A regional house builder have a requirement for an Customer Care Technical Inspector to join their Customer Care / Aftercare team.
Customer Care Technical Inspector role
Reporting to the Regional Customer Aftercare Manager you will provide technical advice and support to the Customer Care Coordinators and Technicians. You will undertake customer visits and compile inspection reports. Your role will also involve line management of the Customer Care Technicians.
Customer Care Technical Inspector duties and responsibilities:
- Working with the Customer Care team to identify areas of improvement in the current customer services systems and processes
- Understand the current levels of service offered and identify trends or areas where improvements can be made
- Look outside of the house building industry for examples of how the company can offer excellent customer service and implement those best practice ideas
- Gather data and monitor trends relating to customer contact points
- Developing and implementing an internal audit / inspection to gather real time information and feedback on the service being delivered to our customers
- Use the outcome of the data and information gathered to suggest areas of improvement in the Customer Care cycle
- To review our current customer service processes to identify opportunities to build QA into the process as opposed to quality checking at the end of the process
- To design those quality assurance tools and measures in conjunction with the wider business
- Support the development of Customer Care and site teams with the developments and changes to Customer Care processes
- Working with the teams to train our, implement and embed improvements and new methods of working
- Manage and develop performance of the team
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience within the house building/new build sector
- Good knowledge of multi trades, including joinery, plastering, bricklaying, basic plumbing
- Knowledge of building tolerances
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements for on-site working
- Ability to manage people and performance of others
- Significant knowledge of health and safety obligations for self and others
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Full driving licence
- Good IT skills
