We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Relief Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the safety and security of our clients’ sites, ensuring the protection of employees, visitors, and assets.

About the Role

As a Relief Security Officer, you will strengthen our existing teams, supporting both core and ad hoc activities. This includes:

Advanced notification of shifts

Covering vacancies in the security team rota

Supporting colleagues during sickness or holiday absences

Performing additional tasking as required

The Role

Ensure the physical security of client premises

Conduct regular patrols and inspections

Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action

Enforce access control and verify the identity of individuals on-site

Deliver excellent customer service, assisting and guiding visitors

Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities

Uphold high professional standards at all times

Undertake induction and ongoing training as required

About You

Valid SIA licence

Proven experience in security or a related field

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of security protocols and procedures

Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends

Willingness to enrol in relevant apprenticeships for training and career development
