Sports Coach – Cover Team
Location: Ipswich and surrounding primary schools
Salary: £100 weekly on-call bonus + National Minimum Wage for any hours worked
Contract Type: Zero-hours contract
We’re looking for a reliable, qualified Cover Sports Coach (Activity Professional) to support our school-based teams in the Ipswich area.
About the Role:
You’ll be part of our cover team, stepping in to deliver planned sports and activity sessions when permanent team members are unavailable (due to sickness or emergency cover). Typical sessions include breakfast clubs, lunchtime activities or after-school clubs - all in primary schools.
Pay & Availability:
• £100 on-call bonus per week (terms apply)
• National Minimum Wage paid for any hours worked
• On-call availability required during agreed weekdays (typically between 7:00am – 8:00am)
• Hours offered based on operational need – often same-day cover
What You’ll Need:
• Level 2 NGB qualification (or equivalent in coaching/teaching)
• Experience working with children in sport or activity settings
• Age 18+ (due to safeguarding and insurance)
• Full UK driving licence + access to your own transport
• Confidence, adaptability, and excellent punctuality
• Willingness to attend occasional training events
