Hales Homecare is looking for Out of Hours Coordinators to join our busy Emergency Duty Team based in Leeds, covering morning shifts and weekends.

As an Out of Hours Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for emergency calls from service users, their families, Care Managers and our Care Workers. You’ll provide support, guidance and solutions, ensuring that care continues seamlessly outside of normal office hours.

This is a varied role where you’ll manage calls, resolve issues and deliver hands-on care in the community when required.

Shift Pattern

Weekdays: 6:00am – 9:00am
Weekends: 6:00am – 2:30pm or 2:00pm – 10:15pm
Alternate weekends required (minimum)

Key Responsibilities

Answer and manage incoming emergency calls, offering support and advice.
Record all calls, incidents and sickness, escalating where necessary.
Assign care visits to Care Workers using our electronic care planning system.
Update service users’ electronic MAR charts and ensure care plans are kept accurate in real time.
Liaise with out-of-hours GPs, ambulance services, local authorities and safeguarding teams when required.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick, confident decisions.
Previous care experience is preferred.
Flexibility to cover early mornings and weekends.
