Summary

1. Leadership & Management – 10%

Coordinate the team in order to deliver DIO & Industry Partners Outputs.

Demonstrate a personal commitment to the DIO Guiding Principles. 

Monitor compliance with standing orders and relevant legislations.

Promote strong working relationships both within the regional team and other teams across the wider DIO and MOD.

2. Logistic Support – 45%

Deliver Regional Logistic Support including:

Provide local SME advice on latest logistic policy and requirements.

Supervise the management of the material account, in accordance with current regulations legislative requirements and HQ instructions.

Provide SME management to Industry Partner for the Demanding, Backloading stock request

Conduct and manage the disposal process in accordance with policy.

Conduct assurance checks of local DTE account, AinUs and Issued Property items.

Regional Logistical focal point for OS&Trg, UK DTE for Defence Regulators and Inspectors (e.g. Logistic Inspections, Major Accident Control Regulation and Equipment Care Inspection).

Provide local support to the Area Utilities Manager (AUM) in support of utilities provision.

Facilitate H&S functions as tasked by the HoE in support of the Regional SHEF Officer.

Local procurement officer in accordance with policy.

3. White Fleet Transport Manager – 15%

Responsible for Regional Motor Transport fleet.

Vehicle Licencing Officer responsible for regional driver management records.

Conduct internal audits against vehicle use and fuel expenditure.

5. Fuels – 10%

Regional point of contact for Fuels & Dangerous Substance & Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR).

Coordination of Inspections/actions/meetings and follow up action following inspection.

Operating Authority and Fuel & Light Manager for the region.

6. Manage Logistical Documentation – 10%

Record and upload all logistical compliance and assurance documentation to SharePoint.

Inform staff across the region on any amendments to logistical policy and documentation.

7. Other Tasks – 10%

As directed by Head of Establishment (HoE) and in support of the region.
