We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Security Analyst to join the team. Whilst we can be flexible on the location of the role, travel to either our Llangefni (North Wales) or Pampisford (Cambridge) offices will be required.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside a SOC team in monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. This role involves working closely with IT, compliance, and management teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective security measures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitor security systems and logs to detect and respond to threats and incidents.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Investigate security breaches and provide detailed incident reports.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and solutions.
Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends.
Support compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
Assist in security awareness training and education programs.
Participate in risk assessments and audits.
Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
Occasional on-call support for critical incidents.
What you will need:
Experience in a technical IT role.
Good understanding of Microsoft Azure, SIEM, EDR and Microsoft 365 Security Tools.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. PCI Compliance, Cyber Essentials, NIST, ISO).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge and experience of Windows OS, Windows Server, Intune and Domain Management.
Preferred
Experience working in a multi-brand or decentralised business environment is advantageous.
