Group Transformation Director – South Staffordshire PLC

Midlands-based, with UK travel

Full-time

Base salary 120k + DOE plus package

Make your mark on a business-wide transformation. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver the transformation agenda of a
diverse, fast-evolving group. As Transformation Director, you’ll drive programmes that deliver meaningful change across
operations, technology, and organisational capability - helping us sharpen performance, unlock growth and deliver for our
customers and stakeholders.

About us

South Staffordshire Plc is a trusted provider of essential services across regulated industries. Alongside owning two water
companies (South Staffs and Cambridge Water), we deliver specialist engineering, asset management, and compliance services to
utilities, local authorities, and organisations with critical infrastructure. With around 3,000 employees, we play a key role in
keeping vital services running smoothly across the UK and further afield.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and building on their existing successes, you’ll oversee a portfolio of high-profile
transformation initiatives across the Group.

You’ll be accountable for ensuring programmes deliver financial and non-financial benefits, building organisational capability,
and embedding new ways of working. Working closely with the Group Executive and business leaders, you’ll provide clarity,
direction, and challenge to ensure transformation efforts drive real value.

Key areas of focus include:

* Leading a complex transformation portfolio with measurable outcomes
* Driving operational and technology improvements across Group businesses
* Embedding a cost-conscious, value-driven approach to change
* Developing organisational capability and talent to support future growth
* Building trusted relationships with senior leaders, clients, and stakeholders
*

What you’ll need:

We’re looking for a senior leader with proven success in delivering business transformation at scale. Specifically, you’ll bring:

* A strong track record in leading transformation/change programmes in complex organisations
* Strategic thinking with the ability to execute in a matrix environment
* Experience bridging business and technology to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions
* Excellent influencing skills and a collaborative leadership style
* Ability to manage risk, prioritise ruthlessly and deliver under pressure
* Experience in regulated industries or essential services is an advantage
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Prince2, AMP) are desirable but not essential.
*

What you’ll get in return

* A high-impact role with visibility at Group Executive and Board level
* The scope to shape strategy and deliver lasting change across a diverse Group
* A supportive environment with talented professionals and senior leaders
* Competitive salary and benefits package including car allowance, bonus, contributory pension, healthcare and more
* Flexible working with UK travel
