Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting students’ learning?
We are looking for reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Hertfordshire, providing essential classroom cover when teachers are absent. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring pupils remain focused and on task.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Support students with their learning and answer general questions.
Collect completed work and provide feedback to the teacher.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in education, tutoring, youth work, coaching, or similar).
Strong communication and classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.
Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
Flexibility and a positive, professional attitude.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
