Role – Business Administration Manager (Business Support)
Location – GCHSCP, Administration Services, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Contract Status – Permanent
NHS Grade: Band 8A (£62,681 - £67,665) NHS hours per week: 37.5
GCC Grade: Grade 8, BS5 (£53,515.12 - £62,125.73), GCC hours per week: 35
This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful applicant, if an employee of the Partnership, will be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either Glasgow City Council (GCC) or NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC), depending on current employer. If the successful applicant is not an employee of the Partnership, they may choose to be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either GCC or NHSGGC. An exciting opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) which will be of interest to highly motivated individuals who have the ability to effectively manage, direct and motivate others to deliver high quality business administration support services. They will require experience of working and managing in a business support function or resources along with being able to make effective decisions and work to tight deadlines and competing demands.
This role will be responsible for managing and directing a range of business administration support functions and projects for GCHSCP. This remit will support business administration services across Children’s Services, Community Homelessness and NHS North East locality based NHS business admin and sites. The post holder will be involved in the review and development of an integrated business administrative service which ensures the efficient provision and delivery of effective business administrative support which meets the statutory requirements and business needs across the health and social care system, and GCHSCP’s wider Corporate Partner organisations including Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This is a joint role which will be responsible for approx. 250 health and council administrative staff who provide business support across all services within GCHSCP including city wide, locality and hosted arrangements.
It is desirable that candidates are educated to a degree level/equivalent professional qualification and also have a post graduate Leadership training/qualification or proven leadership experience and team working capabilities as well as experience of working autonomously, using own initiative.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
