Vacancy Information

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £16.14 - £17.24

Days and Hours of Work:
Days of work are negotiable, working times to be agreed.
Flexi time is applicable.
To start 1st October 2025.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Administrator to join the dynamic administrative team within Children’s Services. This vital role supports a broad range of tasks, with a particular focus on assisting frontline colleagues working in Child Protection.

We welcome applications from experienced administrators who are confident operating in environments where sensitivity and discretion are paramount. If you thrive under pressure, are highly organised, and can manage multiple priorities with professionalism and care, this vacancy could be for you.

With statutory requirements in place relating to Child Protection , strong minute-taking skills and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines would be beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with people at al levels will assist in the day to day operation with both internal and external stakeholders.

Home / Hybrid Working Consideration

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to Higher Grade/NC/SVQ2 or equivalent level and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.

Level 1 Disclosure Clearance
This role requires Level 1 Disclosure Clearance to allow access to the Public Sector Network. ELC will submit a Police Act Disclosure application on behalf of the preferred candidate and receipt of the subsequent certificate will be required prior to commencement.
