Arareopportunityhas arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietetic TeamLeaderto jointhe Nutrition and Dietetic Service in University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.


We are starting a programme of transformational change in this service, so it is an exciting time tojoin us as an agent of change, leadingimproving quality of care for ourpatientseffective use of our resources and supporting staff wellbeing.


Therefore, clinical evidence-based knowledge ofdietetics, alongside a passion and commitment to leadership and management, service developmentandfacilitation of learning and practitioner wellbeing is fundamental.


You will have compassionate communication skills with a proactive approach to problem solving and implementation of innovative solutions within an evolvingdieteticslandscape.This ensures a responsive, needs-based approach to holistic patient centredcare. Theservice is aligned to and contributes to a range of regional networksin the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB.


If you are a motivated,flexibleandforward-thinkingband 6Dieticianwho is ready to advance their professional and clinical development in a more senior role or a current band7 dieticianwanting to furtherconsolidatetheirleadershipskillswe would love to hear from you.


We offer clinical and management supervision, access to in-house CPD programmes & access to leadership programmes to support career development.


The role is based at Royal Lancaster Infirmaryandsupports colleagues based at Queen Victoria Centre, Morecambeandwill require you to travel to other sites and clinic locations.


We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory6 monthprobationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
