Position description / Job description
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
- Supporting students with classroom routines, behaviour management, and personal care when necessary.
- Using tailored communication to meet the individual needs of students.
- Developing positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
- Promoting positive social interactions and supporting students' emotional well-being.
- Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum.
- Preparing and setting up learning resources.
- Monitoring and recording student progress.
Expectations / Requirements
We're looking for you, if:
- You have experience supporting children with SEN in school, residential, or care settings.
- You possess a calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- You demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- You hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or are willing to obtain one).
- You have the legal right to work in the UK and are willing to work long term full-time.
- Ideally, you are available for 5 days a week (Monday - Friday).
- Relevant experience and qualifications are preferred but not essential.
