Crynodeb
1. To provide psychiatric and medical assessments of adults referred to the eating disorder service, including prescribing and monitoring medication and supporting delivery of services according to NICE guidelines policies. 2. To undertake physical examinations and order investigations as required. 3. The post-holder will join other members of the team to provide psychiatric input including assessment and treatment of comorbid mental health disorders. 4. To provide medical and psychiatric review of outpatients. 5. To contribute to collection of Clinical Outcome data across the service. 6. To liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies concerning the treatment and management of patients. 7. Consultation to other members of the multidisciplinary team, including with respect to the management of risk. 8. Actively participate in weekly MDT 9. Good understanding of Clinical Governance requirements and ensuring the service meets standards. 10. Preparing assessment reports and other clinical documentation and correspondence as necessary, in accordance with trust policy. 11. Liaison input to medical wards as needed and sustain good working relationships and effective MEED pathways with acute hospitals in our catchment area. 12. To provide cross cover with medical colleagues within the whole ED service.
