Admin Officers/Customer Advisor - Public Sector (Birmingham | Hybrid Working)
Location: Birmingham, B16 8PE
Contract Type: Temporary (until January 2026, with potential for extension)
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week (9-5 but flexibility required)
Pay: £12.36 per hour, increasing to £12.53 after 12 weeks (paid weekly)
Are you an experienced customer advisor looking for a rewarding role in the public sector?
This is an excellent opportunity to build experience within a professional environment supporting tribunal processes. The role will be fully office-based during the initial training period. Once fully trained, you'll move to a hybrid working pattern, with 60% of your time in the office and 40% working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and processing correspondence related to tribunal cases
- Referring complex matters to legal officers or judiciary as appropriate
- Preparing case files and official documents
- Updating internal systems and case management tools
- Monitoring shared email inboxes and directing correspondence to the correct teams
- Managing inbound customer calls related to appeals or case enquiries
- Carrying out general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, and filing
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a process-driven environment
- Comfortable using IT systems and case management tools
Important: This role requires an Enhanced DBS check and three years of references.
