If so, please apply quickly as we're keen to have you on the team as soon as possible.The King’s School is looking for Assistant Teachers to support the learning of pupils, particularly those with additional needsWe are looking to recruit dedicated and nurturing individuals, preferably with experience of working with children with additional needs, who are committed to ensuring all pupils have equality of opportunity to access the curriculum regardless of their barriers, and to be involved in the fullness of school life. The roles will involve both one-to-one work with specific pupils and small group work, leading interventions needed to support their development and academic progress, plus other duties such as supervising children in the dining hall and outside in the playground.The King’s C of E Primary School is a high achieving, highly sought after voluntary aided primary school with motivated pupils, talented, hardworking staff and supportive parents and Governors. “Pupils thrive in this welcoming and supportive school. Enjoy working with children with additional needs, including 1-1 supportPositively promote inclusion and have high expectations for all childrenDemonstrate a commitment towards raising standards within a school communityHave an understanding of numeracy skills and literacy in the primary curriculumBe able to deliver a range of intervention programsBe committed to professional development & developing their skills in the classroom Be creative and enjoy making their interventions fun in order to inspire, motivate, engage and enthuse our pupils to love learning and aspire for great thingsBe a team player with good communication skills Have a range of effective positive behaviour management skillsBe willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community Have a commitment to the school’s Christian values of Love, Compassion and Respect.Successful candidates may:
Have experience of working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.Have additional relevant/specialist skills that will be beneficial to working with children.We can offer you:
