Role Overview
We are looking for passionate, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across East London. This is a highly flexible role with guaranteed monthly work — perfect for those seeking part-time hours, including students, postgraduates, and professionals looking for extra income. You will supervise classes, follow pre-prepared lesson plans, and maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and manage pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
Maintain discipline and ensure a safe, respectful classroom environment
Engage students in learning and encourage participation
Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups
Follow school policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage a classroom confidently
A passion for education and supporting young people
Students and recent graduates encouraged to apply
Previous school or youth work experience is desirable but not essential
Must be available between 8:00am – 4:00pm on selected days
Must have (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check
