Are you a passionate Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias, looking to join a forward-thinking, well-equipped hospital team?
My client is a well-established 24-hour veterinary practice set in the heart of East Yorkshire’s beautiful countryside. The practice is located in an affluent rural area, offering not only a fantastic work environment but also a wonderful lifestyle outside of work.
You’ll be joining a talented and supportive team that includes a dedicated Lead Vet, Practice Manager, Head Nurse, an experienced clinical team of Vets and RVNs, SVNs, and support staff. Out of hours are fully covered by an in-house night team, ensuring continuity of care and work-life balance.
Facilities & Services
This 24-hour hospital is equipped to a very high standard, including:
• Separate dog, cat, exotic & isolation wards
• Three operating theatres with modern surgical equipment
• Fully equipped in-house laboratory
• Advanced diagnostic imaging: ultrasound, doppler, digital X-ray, CT suite
• Wide range of endoscopes (including rhinoscopy & arthroscopy)
• ECG, hydrotherapy, underwater treadmill & laser therapy
The Role
• Full-time: 40 hours over 4 days per week
• Weekends: 1 in 6 rota
• Part-time: Flexible options available – let’s discuss what works for you
• Relocation package: Available for candidates moving from outside the UK or >60 miles from current residence
About You
We are looking for a RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with:
• A strong interest and experience in surgery
• Clinical leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support the team
• Confidence in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
• A passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
