We are pleased to be working with a leading timber frame manufacturer, delivering sustainable, high-quality solutions for residential and commercial construction. As demand grows, we are seeking a detail-driven Estimator to join our commercial team and play a key role in securing and delivering projects.
The Role
As a Timber Frame Estimator, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for new build projects. Working closely with clients, designers, and the production team, you'll ensure our proposals are both commercially viable and technically accurate. This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence project success from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed quotations and cost estimates for timber frame projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify requirements
• Work with design and production teams to ensure accurate take-offs and pricing
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material, labour, and production costs
• Support the commercial team with tender submissions and contract negotiations
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
Skills & Experience
• Estimating experience within construction (timber frame/offsite experience highly desirable)
• Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with commercial awareness
• IT literate (estimating software and Microsoft Office)
