We need an amazing and energetic Activity Lead to run our very popular Multi-Sports Club for neurodivergent children aged 5 to 18 years!

The club runs for 1 hour a week term-time only (Monday's 6-7pm)
(Staff are required to work for 15 minutes extra either side of the club).
Total delivered hours in person at the club are 6 hours per month term-time-only.
Total admin hours worked form home are 4 hours per month term-time only.
Adhoc hours are available during school holidays.

Sessions take place at FBC Centre, Finchampstead, Wokingham.

We encourage applications from individuals who are autistic or neurodivergent. Our children and young people love role models with lived experience!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be a confident leader with the children, staff & volunteers.
Have FUN and join in with the Active Games club!
Be a positive and engaging role model for children to enjoy a fun and active session that is inclusive.
Ensure that we are all providing a fun but safe session, that includes reasonable adjustments for the children.
Lead a selection of physical games that engages children and is pitched to their skills and abilities. (Encourage and support your team to run a short game each during the session too).
Keep accurate & timely records of first-aid, behaviour incidents or safeguarding concerns.
Work with your team to create a warm and friendly atmosphere to help our young people to join in and feel at ease.
Help the children to develop social skills and confidence at their own pace (includes you participating in sessions and role modelling)
Support young people during the club and respond appropriately to any difficult behaviour.
Ensure the sessions run to strict safeguarding, health & safety requirements.
Communicate regularly with parents during your admin time (in person or online), to give feedback and conduct initial registration meetings before allocating spaces to children.
Be happy to be trained to deliver first aid when required.
To attend team meetings and training as required (extra paid time).

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience of working with neurodivergent children or those who have learning difficulties/disabilities is advantageous (training can be given).
Able to participate in physical games with young people and put out equipment (sports equipment dependant on the activity).
Confident to lead a club that needs to be high energy and include creative physical activities or games that you will create or plan.
Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (One Drive, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) (training can be given).
Able to arrange own transport to Finchampstead. (Public transport is available, but can be a slow option).

All jobs can have an immediate start if you are available. All jobs are part-time and after school. Basic training is approximately 8 hours in total, which you will be paid for (upon completion of the training).
