Role Overview
We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our team on a permanent basis. This position is ideal for a professional Class 2 Driver who enjoys mainly local routes with only the occasional longer trip. The role will involve deliveries to areas such as Walsall, Peterlee, and Huddersfield, with rare longer runs to Scotland. Some shunting work will also be required as part of the Class 2 Driver responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out local and regional deliveries as a Class 2 Driver
Ensuring goods are loaded, transported, and delivered safely
Occasional longer distance runs (e.g. Huddersfield, Scotland) when required
Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Adhering to health & safety and road transport legislation
Performing shunting duties as part of the Class 2 Driver role
Requirements
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Previous experience working as a Class 2 Driver preferred
Good knowledge of UK road networks
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
Need to be over 25 due to insurance purposes
