Are you an experienced and inspiring Family Therapist with highly developed teaching skills who is passionate about the training of Family Therapists/Systemic Psychotherapists? Are you interested in joining an established team in developing systemic training that will inspire students to make a positive impact in the health and social care workforce of the future?
The Leeds Institute of Health Sciences is looking to appoint a part-time Lecturer and trainer in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. The post holder will join an established team and contribute to teaching, supervision of supervision, and the development of the family therapy programme at Foundation, Intermediate and MSc level. You will be expected to take a lead on our Foundation level courses. Contributions to the development of research in any area of Family Therapy will be welcomed.
Applicants should be qualified Family Therapists and be eligible for registration with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. Successful candidates will have substantial experience of clinical practice with families in either the NHS, social care, private or voluntary sector and have previous experience of postgraduate teaching or agency based systemic teaching. An Association for Family Therapy & Systemic Practice (AFT) registered supervisor qualification will be an advantage. Although the focus of this role is teaching, the post-holder will also be clinically active and required to maintain your clinical practice as a Family Therapist for the duration of this appointment.
Salary: Grade 8. A market Supplement on the advertised salary may be applicable and will be discussed upon appointment. Fixed-term for one year. Secondments will be considered. We are happy to consider job share applications and are committed to flexible working for all our employees.
Please note applicants must be able to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
