More detail about the role We are looking for a highly organised and flexible administrator to join our friendly and supportive team to ensure efficient and effective working and continuous improvement of our Eastern Admin support facility. It will require someone with excellent communication skills who is a great team player and is able to work across the area to support teams and deliver on change. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Service staff to ensure efficient waiting list management and validation, maximise slot utilisation and drive forward changes that support the most effective ways of delivering the admin function for the service. Upon commencement of the role, responsibilities will include supervisory support of a number of Community MSK admin staff, with a long-term view of direct line management. Developing effective means of communication both with admin team members, line managers and operational managers, will be a key aspect of this role. In addition, the role will also include project support for initiatives as directed within the MSK and ESP (Extended Scope Practitioner) Services. Due to our recent transition to the Ambulatory build in the EPIC electronic patient record system, it is an essential requirement for this role for the individual to have a competent working knowledge of electronic patient records and have excellent planning and organisational skills. This role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity develop leadership, supervisory and technical skills and drive forward improvement. Ensure that all staff are supervised/managed appropriately and within the parameters set by the Operations Manager. Ensure that the administrative service is appropriately resourced and the work is closely aligned to the needs of the Trusts strategic agenda and direction. Ensure that administrative services function effectively on a day to day basis, supporting the needs of Service Lines and their patients. Support and motivate the administrative workforce to focus on the needs and experience of patients. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and share this knowledge across the trust to improve efficiencies, increase patient care and drive down costs. Ensure implementation and continual compliance with relevant Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times. Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week.
