This primary school is a vibrant, inclusive community school located in the heart of Walsall. As part of a trust, the school is committed to raising aspirations and delivering high-quality education for all children. The newly established provision supports children with communication and interaction needs in a bespoke, nurturing environment.
You will join a dedicated team working in a resourced provision classroom, supporting up to 8 children in KS2 alongside the class teacher and two additional Teaching Assistants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in their learning and development
- Promoting independence and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with planning and delivering tailored activities
- Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
- A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in KS2
- A calm, patient and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
