Your new company
A well-established, privately owned civil engineering firm is looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support its expanding commercial operations. Known for delivering customised infrastructure solutions within the water and utilities sectors, the company collaborates with local authorities and Tier 1 contractors on major frameworks, including Severn Trent Water.
This contract role is primarily site-based in Worcester, with occasional travel to the company's Rugby office.
Your new role
- Oversee financial performance and reporting for assigned projects
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation
- Administer contract terms and manage variations
- Assist with claims, time extensions, and variation assessments
- Manage subcontractor relationships, payments, and final accounts
- Ensure timely invoicing and payment applications to clients
What you'll need to succeed
- Holds a Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
- Has a solid background in civil engineering projects
- Experienced with NEC contracts (Options A, B, and E preferred)
- Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Possesses a full UK driving licence
