Crynodeb

Are you an early career researcher looking for a challenge? Do you have a background in cell signalling and ubiquitin biology? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
The Zeqiraj lab is seeking applications from driven, enthusiastic candidates to fill a Research Technician position. The successful candidate will undertake functional analysis in vitro and in cells. In addition, functional studies of protein-protein interactions and enzyme complexes involved in ubiquitin cell signalling regulation will be required. A major aspect of the post is assisting new pipelines for in situ structural biology and gene manipulation using modern techniques to study candidate proteins from the ubiquitin system. In addition, you will resolve the mode of action and target engagement of signalling proteins in vitro and in cells. The position will suit someone interested in cell signalling and ubiquitin biology.
You should have a Degree, BTEC higher level or equivalent or equivalent experience, with previous experience in research work, molecular biology, tissue culture, transfection, western blotting.
The University of Leeds and the Faculty of Biological Sciences are committed to providing equal opportunities for all and offer a range of family friendly policies.
